Avalon Technologies shares jumped around 11% on Friday as semiconductor and electronics manufacturing stocks came into sharp focus during SEMICON India 2026, while recent brokerage commentary highlighted the company’s semiconductor equipment and battery-storage opportunities.

Mumbai, September 18, 2026 — Shares of Avalon Technologies gained around 11% in Friday’s trading session, emerging as one of the notable movers among India’s electronics manufacturing services (EMS) stocks as investor attention turned towards the country’s semiconductor ecosystem.

The rally came as SEMICON India 2026 entered its second day in New Delhi, with semiconductor and electronics manufacturing stocks witnessing strong buying interest. Avalon was reported to be up 11% in early trade, while Syrma SGS also gained 7% and Kaynes Technology also advanced by 4%.

The latest move adds to a strong run for Avalon Technologies in 2026. The company’s shares had also rallied sharply earlier this month after Nomura retained its Buy rating and raised its target price to Rs 2,767.32 from Rs 2,211.24.

More recently, Motilal Oswal reiterated its Buy view with a target price of Rs 2,740, citing Avalon’s transition towards higher-value, engineering-intensive EMS segments.

According to Motilal Oswal, semiconductor equipment and battery energy storage systems (BESS) are emerging as important growth areas for the company.

Avalon has begun commercial production of electronic power boxes for a global wafer-fabrication equipment supplier and is planning to develop semiconductor equipment as a standalone vertical over the next 18-24 months, according to the brokerage’s assessment.

Order book and new verticals

Motilal Oswal said Avalon’s FY26 order book had risen 25% year-on-year to around Rs 2,200 crore, including long-term contracts. The brokerage expects semiconductor equipment, energy storage, aerospace, rail and satellite communications to contribute to the company’s expansion.

The stock has also attracted attention from foreign institutional investors. Earlier data showed FII holding in Avalon Technologies rising to 7.81% in the June 2026 quarter from 6.42% in the March quarter.

Friday’s surge therefore comes against a broader backdrop of strong investor interest in India’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing theme. While the sector’s growth prospects remain a key market focus, Avalon’s sharp share-price appreciation also puts valuation and execution under scrutiny.

Key takeaway: Avalon Technologies’ latest 11% rally reflects renewed market interest in India’s semiconductor and EMS opportunity, with the company’s expanding semiconductor-equipment and BESS businesses emerging as important themes for investors.
