CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Delhi ahead of a planned NEET-related protest at Jantar Mantar after Delhi Police granted permission for the gathering. Organisers urged supporters to head directly to the venue and maintain peace as heavy security was deployed across central Delhi.

New Delhi, June 6, 2026 — Jantar Mantar in Delhi is buzzing again on Saturday. Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), claiming to represent India’s GenZ, has begun protests at the Jantar Mantar Road. A massive crew of the media is tracking the arrivals of key functionaries of the CJP. Hundreds of police personnel are deployed at the street.

The Jantar Mantar Road protests made into legend by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal in 2013 is back in the spotlight. Unlike other major protests, the CJP is inviting massive media interests. The media is chasing the CJP amid claims that the outfit is trending on the internet.

Having been launched as a satire internet movement, the group is seeking to present an organisational structure, as well as an agenda before the people. The outfit has spelt out that Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan must resign.

Supporters of the CJP came to the Jantar Mantar Road, holding placards to demand resignation of Pradhan. The minister is facing brickbats for NEET-UG paper leaks and exam cancellations. He is also facing the popular ire for the CBSE row involving the scandal in the Onscreen Marking System. The BJP has not yet confirmed if Prime Minister Narendra Modi will accept the demand of the CJP.

Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), arrived in Delhi on Saturday ahead of a planned protest over the NEET issue at Jantar Mantar, urging supporters to maintain discipline and ensure that the demonstration remains peaceful.

According to reports, Dipke landed in the national capital from the United States and was seen at the airport carrying a copy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s autobiography, a gesture that quickly gained traction on social media among supporters of the movement.

The protest received a major boost after Delhi Police granted permission for the gathering at Jantar Mantar. CJP leaders subsequently appealed to supporters to head directly to the designated protest site and avoid other locations, including Parliament Street.

“Do NOT go to Parliament Street. Please come directly to Jantar Mantar,” Dipke said in a message circulated by party supporters online after his arrival.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das announced on social media that permission for the protest had been secured from authorities and urged participants to proceed directly to Jantar Mantar. Another party spokesperson, Vijeeta Dahiya, also reached the protest venue, where she was surrounded by media personnel amid heightened public interest.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police deployed a significant security presence around Jantar Mantar and other key locations in central Delhi ahead of the demonstration. Police officials reportedly met Dipke at the airport and coordinated security arrangements for the event.

Throughout the day, social media updates claimed that Dipke was moving through several parts of central Delhi, including Connaught Place, Todar Mal Road and the Gol Dak Khana area, before eventually reaching the protest venue. Some reports suggested that organizers were monitoring crowd mobilisation before the main address.

As supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar, organizers repeatedly emphasized that the protest should remain peaceful and within the framework permitted by authorities.
