Chennai, March 29, 2026 — Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has unveiled an ambitious “Stalin–6” roadmap as part of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam manifesto, pitching it as a game-changing blueprint for state’s next phase of growth. The plan outlines six pillars aimed at combining welfare with long-term economic expansion, infrastructure growth, and governance reforms.
Framed as “Six Steps towards Progress,” the manifesto emphasizes a shift from traditional welfare models to smart economic multipliers, where direct support is designed to stimulate local economies, boost small businesses, and enhance productivity.
The document stresses that development and welfare can move together, promising infrastructure upgrades alongside expanded social schemes. It also signals a transition to choice-based governance, giving citizens flexibility in availing benefits tailored to their needs.
Welfare Meets Growth Strategy
The DMK’s blueprint underscores long-term planning over short-term optics, focusing on asset creation, job generation, and measurable economic outcomes. It builds on existing schemes while scaling them for broader impact.
