New Delhi, November 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the Congress of siding with alliance partner the National Conference to “remove the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir”. The prime minister raised the issue of the ruckus in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly this week.
“As soon as the Congress and its allies got a chance to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir, it speedily began working against the Constitution of India,” said Modi, while addressing an election rally in Nasik in Maharashtra on Friday.
The prime minister stated that “banners were waved in support of Article 370 inside the Vidhan Sabha”. “When BJP members opposed it with all their might, they were picked up and thrown out of the House,” said Modi.

The prime minister urged upon that the “the whole country and the whole Maharashtra will have to understand this disgusting truth of Congress and its allies. On one hand, the Congress alliance passes a resolution to remove the Constitution of India from Jammu and Kashmir.”
The prime minister said that his government brought the Constitution to Jammu and Kashmir. “With the resolution that the Congress and its allies passed in Jammu and Kashmir, Baba Saheb’s Constitution will not be allowed to enter Jammu and Kashmir. The same Congress comes to Maharashtra and waves the fake book of the Constitution,” alleged Modi.
He stated that the “time has come to cut kite of these blank paper people”. “The Congress separated Kashmir from the mainstream of the country through Article 370. Congress did not allow Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution to be implemented in Kashmir for 75 years,” added Modi.

He asserted that the Congress will have to answer for this (the resolution passed in Jammu and Kashmir). “What was the reason that Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution was not implemented in Jammu and Kashmir? Two constitutions were in force in the country. Modi came and then Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s constitution was implemented in Jammu and Kashmir,” said the prime minister.
He also raised the issue of the benefits of “the Dalits and the deprived in Kashmir” which were implemented after the abrogation of Article 370. “They were not allowed to get their rights. Congress gave protection to terrorism, gave protection to separatists, the problem which Congress had created, we have ended that problem as well by abolishing Article 370,” added the prime minister.
