Dharmendra Pradhan Strikes a Defiant Tone Amid CJP Student Protest

Dharmendra Pradhan’s X post reveals Modi government’s strategy to defy the pressure of the student protest led by the Cockroach Janata Party

New Delhi, July 22, 2026 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre has struck a defiant note against student protest led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, facing call for resignation from the student protest, revealed the defiance note script of the government. The political anchor of the strategy to defy the CJP protest pressure is the Congress joining the agitation with Rahul Gandhi taking the limelight in Tuesday dharna outside the PM residence at the Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.

“LoP Shri @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia continue to shamelessly exploit students as political tools to manufacture disruption during the Monsoon Session of Parliament,” Pradhan wrote in X in his first comment on the raging agitation triggered by the alleged malpractices in India’s examinations.

Pradhan gave out the Modi government’s strategy to defy the CJP’s student protest — target the Congress for derailing the Monsoon session of parliament. By making the issue a Modi government versus the Congress, the BJP, ruling party at the Centre, strategists hope to rally core supporters to defend the ruling dispensation at the Centre.

The Modi government had struck similar defiance note against the Shaheen Bagh protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), farmers’ agitations at Haryana and Punjab border points, and others.

“For Rahul Gandhi, this is not about students. This is about manufacturing confrontation after every genuine avenue for discussion has been opened,” added Pradhan.

With the beleaguered minister sharing a long note on X, the Prime Minister seems to have made it clear that he will stand up with Pradhan. The BJP leaders have already asserted that “Ministers in the Modi government don’t resign on demands of the Opposition.”

“Our government remains 100% committed to discussing NEET and addressing every genuine concern of our youth on the floor of the House. The students of India deserve far better than being treated as props in a political campaign. They deserve certainty over chaos, solutions over slogans and responsibility over disruption,” wrote Pradhan with contents showing signs of AI enhancement of texts, besides also suggesting that his post is a strategy arrived at by the BJP’s top brass.

By agreeing to a full debate and portraying the Congress as an obstructionist, the BJP top brass seems to have decided to take the spotlight off from the CJP.

“We owe our students more than outrage. We owe them answers, reforms and accountability. That is exactly what our government remains committed to delivering,” added Pradhan in his post.

Earlier, Modi in his speech at a meeting of the NDA leaders had spoken on the issue of the NEET paper leaks. He had called for collective measures to deal with the issue.
