‘You will always be my hero’: Sanjay Dutt remembers father Sunil Dutt on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, June 6: Today is Sunil Dutt’s birthday. He was India’s foremost filmstar, politician and a social worker.
His son and Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt paid heartfelt tribute to him.
Sanjay Dutt took to Instagram to express his tribute.
“Your belief and love helped make me who I am today. You were, are and will always be my Hero. Happy Birthday, Dad,” wrote Sanjay Dutt.
Along with the caption, he shared a picture from the film ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’, one of the finest work done by Sanjay Dutt in which Sunil Dutt had played the role of his father.
Sunil Dutt wanted a sequel too but he passed away before the film went on the floor.
Sunil Dutt, one of the finest actor of his time, started his career in radio. He became very popular because of his command over Urdu language.
Sunil Dutt gained more stardom after the film ‘Mother India’. It was during the shoot of film in 1957, when a fire broke out on the set. He braved the raging fire to save Nargis and thereby won over her love.
His film ‘Yaadein (1964)’ is the first Indian film in the cinema that featured only a single actor and hence recorded an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records in the category of fewest actors in a narrative film.
‘Apne kasoor ki sazaa se kisi bekasoor ko bachane ke liye … main maut se bhi takkar le lunga (Dialogue from movie ‘Praan Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye)’ was truly lived by the legendary actor.
Sunil Dutt is also looked upon as a testament of integrity. Two things that have never failed him are his courage and dignity.
