New Delhi, January 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday made his podcast debut with stockbroker Nikhil Kamath. His debut podcast has come amid the ongoing electioneering for the Delhi Assembly elections.
In an almost a biographical conversation with Nikhil Kamath, Modi said: “I has said at a public meeting sometimes back in Gujarat that I am a human and not a God.” Modi said that he can commit mistakes.
“Maen Bhagwan thode hi bun…(I am not a God),” Modi told Kamath, who is the founder of Zerodha, India’s leading stockbroking firm. The Prime Minister said that while he may commit mistakes, they may not be with bad intentions.

The Prime Minister released a clipped portion of the conversation from his social media profiles. Modi’s assertion that he is a human and not a god is being widely commented upon on the social media platforms.
Modi during the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections had told a television channel in an interview that he had a feeling after his mother passed away that he had come to the earth with a special purpose. “I felt after my mother passed away that I have a non-biological energy with me that was passed on to me,” Modi had told the television channel in the interview.
That interview was given in a special setting on a small ship on the Ganges in Varanasi. Modi was contesting the Lok Sabha elections from the Varanasi parliamentary constituency.
After the Lok Sabha verdict, Modi faced taunts from the Opposition for his non-biological energy transmission remarks. Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi often targets him with barb that the “prime minister is non-biological”.
The Congress communication department chief and the Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh addresses the prime minister in his media statements as “non-biological”. The Opposition has also on occasions linked remarks of the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat to Modi’s claims made in the television interview about the “non-biological transmission of energy”.
Bhagwat in an address to the RSS workers in Ranchi last year that it’s for the people to judge whether a person has acquired the godly status. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was humbled in the Lok Sabha with reduced strength in the lower house of parliament.
The BJP in the third term at the helm of the government at the Centre is now without own majority in the Lok Sabha. The loss of the majority of the BJP in the Lok Sabha has been attributed to outlandish claims made by the party leaders in the course of the election campaign.

The Prime Minister made a curious podcast debut in a show of a stock broker. Modi’s podcast is the only sixth episode by the billionaire stock broker who has ventured into podcasting.
The prime minister in the past has also given an interview to film star Akshay Kumar. The interview to the film star had set off a meme fest around some of the claims made by the prime minister on ways he wats mangoes.
