Modi Tells BJP to Not Miss ‘Golden Opportunity’ in Delhi Polls

New Delhi, February 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spelt out poll day strategy for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Delhi Assembly elections. Modi claimed that the victory of the BJP in Delhi elections is certain.
“We have to meet again on February 8 to celebrate the victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. The win is certain. The BJP has to work to make it a grand victory,” said Modi while addressing his third and the last public meeting for the Delhi polls.
He addressed his last rally at RK Puram in the national capital. The Prime Minister addressed three public meetings for the Delhi Assembly elections.

“The Delhi unit of the BJP has to ensure that they bring the people to vote in polling booths in a group of 25. The BJP workers should take ‘Modi’s Pranam’ to each household,” added the prime minister.
Modi claimed that “this is the golden opportunity to win” in Delhi. “After 25 years, this opportunity has come to win the Delhi polls. Victory is certain. We have to make it grand,” asserted Modi.
Modi hard sold the Union Budget in his election rally. “The yesterday’s Budget was of the people of the country. The Indian economy in the last 10 years has reached fifth position from the 10th slot. The income of the people is also rising,” added Modi.
The BJP is out of power in Delhi since 1998. “After the Budget implementation, the footwear, mobile phones, and other goods will become cheaper. The role of the middle class in the development of the country is huge,” said Modi.

The Prime Minister stated that the “whole middle-class is saying that this budget is the most friendly for the middle class in the whole history”. “Earlier, the middle-class used to lose sleeps five days ahead of the unveiling of the Union Budget. Afterwards, they used to remain stressed,” added Modi.
The Prime Minister stated that the income up to ₹12 lakh annually now will have zero tax. “This Budget will fill the pockets of the middle class. Delhi’s middle class will get thousands of crores of rupees extra in their pockets,” added Modi.
Political pundits claim that Delhi’s demography largely constitutes of middle-class population. A large part of Delhi’s population in the national capital also is engaged in government jobs.
Modi gave examples of taxes that would have been paid if there had been governments headed by Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
