The rumour mills are abuzz with speculations of the likely faces in the Bhajanlal Sharma Cabinet on the lines of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Political observers in Jaipur are loudly speculating the possible reasons which may be delaying the Cabinet formation in Rajasthan. They reason that the BJP top brass is seeking to be cautious in the Cabinet expansion in Rajasthan. It may be noted that Bhajanlal Sharma along with two deputy chief ministers had taken oaths of offices in Jaipur in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 13 days ago.

The BJP’s Rajasthan unit is also wildly speculating over the reasons for the delay in the expansion of the Bhajanlal Sharma Cabinet. The state unit leaders are believing that the BJP will have a large size Cabinet in Jaipur on the lines of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh where the party gave representation to several new faces.

But the political observers in Jaipur claim that the BJP is sweating out to work out the list of the names to be sworn in as ministers in Jaipur because of the Vasundhara Raje factor. Former chief minister of Rajasthan is known to enjoy wide clout in the state unit of the party. The BJP top brass may like to clip her wings in the state politics on the lines of her Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It may be recalled that several of the followers of Chouhan failed to fin space in the Mohan Yadav led Madhya Pradesh council of ministers.

Political observors in Bhopal had spotlighted the significant number of the followers of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia becoming ministers in the Mohan Yadav led Cabinet. Also, the key followers of Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah such as Kailash Vijayvargiya, Pralhad Singh Patel, and Rakesh Singh also became ministers in the Mohan Yadav led Cabinet in Bhopal.

The BJP observors are speculating that the top brass of the party may also place key members of ‘Team Amit Shah’ in the Bhajanlal Sharma Cabinet in Jaipur. It may be noted that several MPs such as Rajyavardhan Rathore, Mahant Balaknath, and Kirorilal Meena had contested the elections and they are likely to become ministers in the state Cabinet.

The BJP’s Rajasthan in-charge Arun Singh is known to have canecelled his visit to Jaipur. The state chief minister has already held consultations with the Central party leaders. Sources said that the swearing in of the new ministers in Jaipur may take place shortly. Meanwhile, the Opposition Congress is taking potshots at the BJP for failing to form the council of ministers even after 24 days of the election verdict. The Congress is accusing the BJP to be a divided house in Rajasthan.
