Mumbai, December 13, 2025 — Pop sensation Zara Larsson is ending the year on a career-defining high—Grammy-nominated, touring across continents, and watching her fanbase explode online. In a heartfelt conversation with Billboard News, the 27-year-old singer said the recognition feels “very validating” after years of growing into the artist she always wanted to be.

“I’ve always loved what I do,” Larsson said. “But now people are connecting with my music in a way that feels really special. When I started out at 14, I didn’t write much. Today, it’s important for me to create, to write, to build a world—and people are stepping into it.”

‘A Universe of Fun and Freedom’

Larsson’s live shows have become a phenomenon, with fans dressing in flowers, sequins and even dolphin motifs inspired by her aesthetic.

“It’s beautiful to look out into the crowd,” she said. “They give me all their energy. That connection you get in a room—those moments only happen once.”

Her viral fan interactions, often shared across social platforms, have helped forge a community that feels, as she calls it, “warm and supportive.”

The Money Long Collaboration

Larsson also opened up about her unexpected but wildly successful collaboration with Money Long, laughing about how it began.

“She posted that song of mine like ten times a day,” Larsson joked. “I thought someone from the label was paying her! But she’s an amazing writer with an ear for pop—so it really worked.”

Holiday Playlist Confessions

With Jingle Ball in full swing, Larsson was asked about her Christmas playlist. She admitted she’s too intimidated to perform Mariah Carey’s holiday classic, even though she loves it, and remains devoted to Ariana Grande’s Christmas album.

“I love the old classics too—that familiar, homely feeling of coming back to your parents,” she added.
