Patna, November 14, 2025 — Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha’s sarcasm has turned into a prophecy that beat all claims of Exit Polls on Bihar Assembly elections. The pollsters predicted a victory of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) but scale of win was far lower than the actual outcome.
“The exit polls of Bihar assembly polls are all wrong. My survey shows that NDA is winning at least 200 seats and Mahagathbandhan is being wiped out,” Sinha wrote on two days ago.
The NDA is on course to win 202 Assembly seats in Bihar as per the latest data of the Election Commission of India. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is winning 90 seats. The JD (U) follows closely with leads on 84 Assembly seats.
Sinha is a critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is currently associated with the Trinamool Congress. He had served as the Union Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cabinet.
Sinha’s sarcasm on claims of exit polls on Bihar elections has gone viral on the social media platforms. Exit polls had predicted the victory of the NDA by projecting the alliance to win a maximum of 160 seats in the state.
Sinha had fallen out with Modi after he was moved into the Margdarshak Mandal of the BJP along with the party veterans LK Advani, MM Joshi, and Shanta Kumar.
