Mother of Whistleblower Suchir Balaji Tells Podcaster ‘Son was Murdered’

New Delhi, January 17: Mother of the AI whistleblower Suchir Balaji has alleged that her son had been murdered. She told independent broadcaster Tucker Carlson that the house had been ransacked and floors had bloodstains when body of her son was recovered.
Poornima Ramarao accused OpenAI of murdering her son while giving an explosive interview to Carlson on X. Her interview has gone viral with the people in the US reacting strongly to the claims of Ramarao.
Balaji was found dead in his apartment in November last year. Ramarao told Carlson that the police hurriedly declared after a 15-minute probe that her son had died by suicide.
The local police authorities claimed that Balaji had died by suicide. Ramarao has demanded a probe by the FBI into the death of her son. She also alleged that several documents had been missing from the apartment of her son.
Suchir Balaji worked as an engineer for Sam Altman building AI. He was a researcher at the leading AI firm. After four years, reports said he quit the AI firm while alleging that Altman was committing crimes.
“Balaji became a whistleblower, and soon after was found dead in his apartment. California authorities claim it was suicide. Crime scene photos clearly show a murder,” said Carlson in a post on X. Carlson is well known for recording over two-hour-long interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Balaji’s mother, Poornima Ramarao, tells the most shocking story we’ve heard in a long time,” added Carlson. She alleged that her son had evidences of the AI firm involved in criminal activities.
“Bullet trajectory was downward instead of upward. A piece of a wig was found. Suchir’s blood was all over his apartment,” she told Carlson in the interview broadcast on X.
She also alleged that her “son had another head injury, signs of a struggle”. Reports said that Balaji worked as an engineer for Sam Altman building AI.
“He became a whistleblower, gave various journalists information that implicated Sam Altman and Open AI was committing serious crimes,” alleged Ramarao. Balaji was staying in his California apartment.
California police authorities quickly termed the death of Balaji as in incident of a suicide. His mother alleged that “|all evidence suggested otherwise that he had been murdered”. “The crime scene photos clearly show a murder,” she alleged.
