New Delhi, March 5, 2026 — The Trump administration faces an acute task at hand — explaining why the US is waging a war against Iran. From podcasters to war veterans, from senators to activists, voices against the Iran War within the US are growing louder.
The US Senate narrowly defeated a resolution that would have forced Trump for a Congressional approval for further waging the Iran War. The score chart read 52: 48. That sums up the growing heat against the Trump administration.
Dissent within the US against the Iran War is also turning ugly. During a sub-committee hearing, former Marine Sgt. Brian McGuinness disrupted the proceedings. “We don’t want to fight a war with Iran for Israel,” he shouted. The Capitol police personnel dragged him out of the room. But his hand was stuck in the door. Reports claimed that he ended up with a broken hand.
Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana too joined in efforts with the police to throw the veteran out of the room. McGuinness is an anti-war activist. He has been vocal about the possibility of a broader conflict in the Middle East.
US-based podcaster Tucker Carlson is now a forceful voice against Iran War. He argues that Iran posed no threat to the US. Carlson argues that the US faced no attacks within the country by groups linked to Iran’s ruling regime.
Conflicting reports emerged that Kurd militia will launch the ground actions against Iran. Reports claimed of Israeli helicopters dropping weapons in Iraq. But there has been no confirmation yet of the Kurd militia launching the ground operation.
Within the US, Polymarket claimed that 29 percent of the people believe that American troops will invade Iran before March 31. It also claims that 67 percent of the people believed that the US-Iran conflict will end before June 30.
Senator Chris Murphy questioned the rationale for the US military operations against Iran during his speech in the Senate debate. “A war that will leave the same hardliners in charge. A war that can’t actually destroy their nuclear program. This is incompetence. Plain and simple,” Murphy stated.
