Tulsi Gabbard, Trump, Vance Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi, April 25, 2025: Prominent American political leaders have come out strongly in support of India following the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, that claimed the lives of 26 Hindu civilians.
The international condemnation of the attack has grown louder, with bipartisan voices from the United States expressing solidarity with the Indian people and urging action against those responsible.
Former US Congresswoman and military veteran Tulsi Gabbard took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to denounce the attack and express heartfelt condolences. “We stand in solidarity with India in the wake of the horrific Islamist terrorist attack, targeting and killing 26 Hindus in Pahalgam. My prayers and deepest sympathies are with those who lost a loved one,” said Gabbard.
She also stated that “we are with you and support you as you hunt down those responsible for this heinous attack”.
Gabbard, known for her strong stance against religious extremism and her close engagement with the Indian diaspora, has been a consistent voice highlighting the threat of radical terrorism globally.
US President Donald Trump also expressed strong condemnation of the attack and extended support to India. “We stand with our great ally India. The terrorists who carried out this monstrous act must face swift and sure justice,” Trump said in a statement on Truth Social.
US Vice President J.D. Vance echoed similar sentiments, saying: “This brutal attack on Hindu civilians is yet another reminder of the threat posed by Islamist terrorism. The United States must stand firmly with India in this moment of grief and determination.”
Other US lawmakers, including members of the India Caucus in Congress, are also reportedly preparing a joint resolution to denounce the Pahalgam attack and reaffirm strategic counterterrorism cooperation between the two democracies.
Global Support for India Amid Grief
The outpouring of international support comes amid India’s ongoing operation to track down and neutralize the perpetrators of the cowardly Pahalgam attack, widely believed to be orchestrated by Pakistan-backed terror outfits.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed a strong and decisive response. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, after holding a high-level security review with top Army officials, has declared that “every perpetrator and supporter must be hunted down and made to pay.”
The tragic attack has not only shaken India but also stirred global conscience, with world leaders uniting to condemn terrorism and affirm their commitment to democratic values and the protection of innocent lives.
