UP Board Results 2025: Yash Pratap and Mehak Jaiswal Emerge as Toppers

Lucknow, April 25, 2025: Setting a new benchmark, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) declared the 2025 High School and Intermediate examination results on Friday — in just 43 days — marking one of the fastest result announcements in the state’s history.
The High School exams recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 90.11 per cent, while the Intermediate results stood at 81.15 per cent. Yash Pratap Singh of Jalaun’s Late Smt. Raskendri Devi Inter College topped the High School exams with 97.83 per cent, and Mehak Jaiswal from Bacha Ram Yadav Inter College, Prayagraj, secured the top spot in the Intermediate category with 97.20 per cent.
“Girls once again outperformed boys across both levels. In High School, the girls’ pass percentage was 93.87 per cent, outshining boys by 7.21 per cent. In Intermediate, girls secured 86.37 per cent, leading boys by a margin of 9.77 per cent,” said the UP government in a media statement.
Director of Secondary Education Mahendra Dev and UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh shared the detailed statistics during the official announcement. They noted that the board examinations were conducted between February 24 and March 12, 2025, across 8,140 centres in just 13 working days.
The evaluation process, which took place from March 19 to April 2 at 261 centres, involved over 1.48 lakh teachers.
High School 2025 at a Glance:
- Total appeared: 25,45,815
- Passed: 22,94,122

- Girls: 12,18,791 appeared | 93.87 per cent passed
Intermediate 2025 at a Glance:
- Total appeared: 25,98,560
- Passed: 21,08,774
- Boys: 13,87,263 appeared | 76.60 per cent passed
- Girls: 12,11,297 appeared | 86.37 per cent passed
In a noteworthy highlight, jail inmates across Uttar Pradesh also participated in the board exams with remarkable results. Of the 94 inmates who took the High School exam, 91 passed (96.81 per cent). In the Intermediate category, 105 inmates appeared and 91 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 86.67 per cent.
“The 2025 UP Board results not only reflect academic excellence but also reinforce the success of the Yogi government’s commitment to transparent, timely, and reform-oriented education governance,” added the state government.
