Trumps says ‘Not Joking’ on Taking 3rd Term

 TRH News Desk

New Delhi, March 30: US President told NBC that he’s not joking on his intent to taking third term. The 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution limits the term of President for two tenures.

“There are methods of getting it,” Trump told NBC presenter Kristen Welker in an interview over telephone. Trump claims that his popularity is soaring. He often equates himself with George Washington, former US President.

Critics accuse Trump of narcissism. They also assail him of surrounding himself with sycophants. But Trump continues to grab international headlines with stunning statements.

In the fresh instalment of making bombastic claims, Trump told NBC that “there are ways to getting the third term”. Trump is only in his third month of taking the second term.

Trump told the broadcaster that he is “not joking about exploring avenues to serve a third term in office”. But he hastened to add that “it is far too early to think about it”.

The US television media is also whetting Trump’s imagination in grabbing eyeballs. Welker prompted Trump to further lengthen his imagination by suggesting if the other method could mean US Vice President JD Vance running for Presidential elections and after winning, he could hand over the power to him.

Trump sounded excited about the idea to nod in approval. He didn’t elaborate on his methods of getting the third term.

“Well, that’s one. But there are others too. There are others,” Trump told Welker on possibility of Vance transferring power to him. However, Welker didn’t explain why Vance after winning an election will hand over the power to Trump.

The US President is on a spree in making some of the craziest claims. His rhetoric on forcibly annexing Greenland is riling up Europe. Political leaders in Greenland have united to call the bluff of Trump in annexing Greenland.

The US-based political commentators have been straining to find logic in Trump’s justification to annex Greenland. Trump’s berating of Canada has also riled up the Canadian leaders. The relations of the US have sunken to a new low with Canada in the wake of Trump’s undiluted pouncing of Canada with tariffs.

The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1951, limits individuals to two terms as president. But Trump has said on occasions that he will take the third term.

Canadian political leaders have recently said that the US is slipping into a totalitarian state under Trump. Experts wonder if Trump seeks to emulate Russian President Vladimir Putin, who wins all elections in Russia.
