Trump Follows 2-Gender Policy to Ban Trans Surgery

New Delhi, January 29: Nine days after announcing two gender policy, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced ban on trans surgery. “Today, it was my great honour to sign an executive order banning chemical castration and medical mutilation of the children in the United Stares of America,” said Trump in a post on his social media profile.
In his inauguration speech, Trump had said that there will be only two genders in the US – male and female. Activists had slammed him for violations of the rights of the trans genders and others.
“Our nation will no longer fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support so-called ‘gender affirming care’, which has already ruined far too many lives,” added Trump in his post on Truth Social.
Trump in his campaign for the November elections in the US had accused the Democrats for “gender extremism”. “My order directs agencies to use every available means to cut off federal financial participation in institutions which seek to provide these barbaric medical procedures, that should have never been allowed to take place,” said Trump in his post.
Trump in his inaugural speech said he would make it the policy of the US that “there are only two genders — male and female”. Trump mentioned his key election themes in the inaugural speech.

On the campaign trail, the US President-elect Donald Trump had mocked at the prevalence of boys using girls’ toilets in the name of gender equality. On the day of the inauguration of his presidency, he issued an executive order to establish the biological reality of two sexes.
