Washington, February 11: U.S. President Donald Trump set a deadline of Saturday 12 noon for the Hamas to release all the hostages. Afterwards the armed Hamas personnel disappeared from the street in Gaza, reports said.
Analysts said that Trump has almost greenlighted Israel to commence bombing Gaza again if all the hostages are not released by Saturday noon. The remarks of Trump came amid his meeting Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“But as far as I’m concerned, if all of the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock, I think it’s an appropriate time. I would say cancel it (ceasefire) and all bets are off and let hell break out,” Trump told reporters.
The U.S. Presudent gave graphic descriptions of the hostages who were released by the Hamas. “It looks like they came out of the Holocaust. And what a sad thing. One of them was a young man, good looking guy, a little bit heavier than perhaps he could have been,” Trump elaborated.

The US President further detailed, saying that “and now he looks like he’s not even recognizable, not even recognized”. “I can tell you that those people have been badly hurt, both mentally and physically,” added Trump.
The Hamas yesterday announced cancelling the scheduled release of the hostages. “A stunning scene in Gaza: Moments after Hamas announced the end of the ceasefire agreement, all the armed men in uniforms suddenly disappeared from the streets,” said Ori Miller in a post on X.
Trump also warned Jordan and Egypt that the U.S. will stop all aides if they refuse to allow Palestinians enter their territories. The U.S. President previously proposed that Palestinians should leave Gaza.
Trump Talks Gaza without Palestinians in Netanyahu’s Presence
Jordan and Egypt have rejected Trump offer for taking Palestinians from Gaza. Reports earlier said that Trump transition team had pressured Isreal to agree to the ceasefire with the Hamas.
Israel is likely to begin military operations against the Hamas. Trump’s deadline for Saturday is being seen by the Middle East experts as concession of the U.S. to Israel to pursue its operations in Gaza.
Trump also claimed to have spoken to world leaders on his plan to move Palestinians out of the Gaza strip. “I’ve spoken to various leaders of various countries, in the not so you know distant area, from where we’re talking about the Gaza Strip,” added Trump.
And I think they were very positive about providing land, said Trump.
