Jeffrey Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, died in a New York jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges. His death, officially ruled a suicide, and his connections to high-profile figures, including Trump, have long stoked conspiracy theories.
