Trump Cites Past Diplomatic Successes to Claim Israel-Iran War to Cease Soon

NEW DELHI, June 15, 2025 – US President Donald Trump claimed that a peace deal between Israel and Iran is imminent. He drew parallels to his past “diplomatic interventions, including India-Pakistan conflicts.”

Trump in a Truth Social post stated, “Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make, in that case by using TRADE with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and STOP!”

The US President claimed that a “lot of calls are being made” for truce between Iran and Israel. The two warring nations are bombing each other. Streets of Tehran flooded after Israel blasted pipelines in the city.

Iran also is raining missiles on Israel to break through the air defence system, Iron Dome Defence. Latest reports said that five cars exploded in possible attacks launched from within Iran by Israeli intelligence sleuths.

Trump also referenced his role in de-escalating tensions between Serbia and Kosovo during his first term, claiming, “Serbia and Kosovo were going at it hot and heavy, as they have for many decades, and this long-time conflict was ready to break out into WAR. I stopped it (Biden has hurt the longer term prospects with some very stupid decisions, but I will fix it, again!).”

He further highlighted his involvement in the Egypt-Ethiopia dispute over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, asserting, “There is peace, at least for now, because of my intervention, and it will stay that way!”

Trump expressed confidence in achieving peace between Israel and Iran, noting, “Likewise, we will have PEACE, soon, between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings now taking place. I do a lot, and never get credit for anything, but that’s OK, the PEOPLE understand.”

The US President also raised the slogan: “MAKE THE MIDDLE EAST GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump’s claims come amidst heightened tensions in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. Trump’s post has come amid within hours of his officials saying that the US will respond with full force if its bases were targeted by Iran.

Middle East observers have said that Israel’s bombing of oil refineries of Iran has been strategically planned to drag the US in war against Iran. Trump has so far refused to be drawn into the ongoing conflicts between Iran and Israel. Iran cancelled a scheduled meeting with the US on nuclear talks on Sunday, saying that it was meaningless now.
