Greater Noida Trade Show brings full occupancy to hotels

Greater Noida, September 29: The UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida gave a major boost to the hotel industry in the national capital region. Hotel businesses surged over 50 per cent, said the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday.

The state government also asserted that hotels in Noida and Delhi reaped benefits from the mega trade show in Greater Noida. The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show concluded on Sunday.

“According to industry experts, the five-day event led to an increase of over 50 per cent in hotel bookings around the India Expo Mart. A significant number of exhibitors and visitors attending the International Trade Show reserved accommodations in Greater Noida, leading to nearly all major hotels being fully booked,” said the state government in a media statement.

It stated that “many guests from both India and abroad had to seek hotel arrangements in Noida and Delhi in addition to Greater Noida”. The trade expo gained praise from hotel industry stakeholders, said the state government.

“Many in the sector are lauding the state government’s efforts to create a conducive environment for trade and tourism, marking the event as a pivotal moment for the local economy,” added the state government.

India Expo Mart, located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, is a key venue for major events. Recently, the second edition of the five-day International Trade Show, organized by the Yogi Adityanath government, began on September 25 and concluded on September 29.

In preparation for this international event, the Greater Noida hotel industry made significant arrangements. The trade show attracted exhibitors from across the state and the country, along with thousands of buyers, including international visitors.

Sanjay Prakash, a representative from the hotel industry, remarked that the recent trade show exceeded their expectations. He noted a significant rise in hotel bookings and an increase in customers at restaurants during the event.

Nita Sharma, also from the hotel industry, shared that they took advantage of the trade show by offering special packages that enhanced customer service. She highlighted the improved law and order situation under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, which has encouraged more people to invest in the area.

“She mentioned that their business had already seen an increase during the last trade show, and this time, the results were even better,” added the state government in the statement.
