DC Plane Crash: Pilot Fights Flying Fears with Viral Video

Netizens drew parallel between the Toronto plane crash and the DC plane crash. They debated if the Toronto plane crash was also an outcome of the attack on DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) by US President Donald Trump. But there appeared no fault of the Canadian airport traffic controller in the crash-landing of the Delta Airlines at the Pearson International Airport.

The ill-fated Delta Airlines caught fire while the pilot tried to bring the plane to a halt. The plane screeched on the ice sheet at the airport to flip upside down.

Prompt rescue operations at the airport helped passengers safely disembark from the plane. However, reports said that one child passenger was critically injured.

Jonathan Simpson, a veteran pilot, was in-charge of the ill-fated Delta airlines. Netizens credited him for saving the lives of the people with his heroic efforts.

He is a pilot with more than 420 hours of flight time in 69 types of aircraft. “His action today at the Pearson International Airport in Toronto in Canada saved 80 passengers on board,” said a passenger on the social media platform X.
