Russia-India Relations Now Bonding with Both Returning to Traditional Values: Dugin

By Raisina Correspondent

New Delhi, November 20: Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin on Wednesday claimed that Russia and India relations now have the cornerstone of both the nations returning to the traditional values. Dugin said that it’s time now to make the humanity great again.

“In the past, the Soviet Union and India had relations with the commonality of socialism with the Leftist ideologies. Now, Russia and India relations are anchored on both the nations going back to the traditional values,” added Dugin.

The Russian political scientist was speaking at a roundtable hosted by Sputnik India. India’s former foreign secretary Kanwal Sibal, Russian ambassador in India Danis Alipov, convenor of Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS), Ashwini Mahajan, and others took part in the round table discussion.

Dugin argued that India and Russia relations have now found a new anchor in seeking a multipolar world order. The Russian philosopher argued that the Ukraine War is just special operations by Russia against a unipolar world order.

“Russia now is not fighting against Ukraine. It fights against unipolar world order in pursuit of a multipolar world order,” said Dugin. He claimed that the Russian President Vladimir Putin is “leading a battle for the whole humanity, that’s the mission of Russia: to be the driver of a just, democratic and prosperous and peaceful multipolar world”.

In some quarters, Dugin is known as Putin’s brain. He has been a controversial figure in the Russian politics while being an anti-Communist in the 1980s.

Alipov claimed that the Kazan Summit was a breakthrough in pursuit of a multipolar world order. “Future world order is in the making. The Kazan summit took place at this turning point in the history, with new powers getting a stronger voice in the global affairs,” Alipov said at the roundtable.

On the sidelines of the Kazan Summit of BRICS, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held delegation level talks after a gap of over four years. Afterwards, India and China have embarked on disengagement in eastern Ladakh where armies of two nations had been pitched against each other since the violent Galvan skirmish in 2020.

Alipov said that the “BRICS phenomenon is resonating stronger each year. He also stated that the Rio G20 Summit was also a “proof of BRICS countries working together”.
