NEW DELHI, August 28, 2025 — Acclaimed music icon Sid Sriram has released his most ambitious independent single yet, SOL, a Tamil-language pop track that blends heartfelt emotion with cutting-edge sound and visuals. Written, composed, produced, and performed by Sid himself—with additional production by Atlanta-based hitmaker Mike Will-Made It—the song marks a new high point in his creative journey.

Known for soulful romantic ballads like Srivalli (Pushpa) and Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale (Geetha Govindam), Sid shifts gears with SOL, presenting a joyful celebration of love through futuristic artistry. The music video, directed by Parasher Baruah, features viral choreographer Usha Jey and her globally recognized dance crew, whose unique fusion of Bharatanatyam and hip-hop infuses the visuals with energy, tradition, and modern flair.

Set against surreal backdrops of a barren tree and ancient walls, the video transforms into a vibrant spectacle of light, color, and movement as the song unfolds. Usha Jey’s choreography, inspired by Kolam patterns, creates a striking visual rhythm that mirrors Sid’s evolving sound.

Speaking about the track, Sid Sriram shared, “I started writing SOL about a year ago in my bedroom in Fremont, CA. It came from a place of stillness and rediscovering joy. When Mike Will-Made It and I connected in Atlanta, he added a bounce that elevated the piece. The visuals were a family effort—shaped by me, my sister Pallavi, my dad, and Parasher Baruah. Having Usha Jey and her crew bring hybrid bharatham to life was magical.”

Released through his joint venture with Warner Music India, SOL continues Sid’s push to balance his blockbuster playback career with deeply personal independent music. It follows his devotional hit Sivanar and acclaimed singles like En Kadhaa/Kanne, further cementing his reputation as a boundary-breaking artist.

Adding to the buzz, Sid will kick off his first-ever multi-city India tour later this year: Bengaluru on November 22, Chennai on November 29, and Hyderabad on December 13.
