New Delhi, January 3: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan appears letting out his anguish for being dropped the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. In an emotional frame, the former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh told his followers in the Budhni Assembly seat that sometimes “people wait for rajtilak but get vanvas’.

The former chief minister also told the people in his Assembly seat that he would not be leaving the state. The remarks of Chouhan came at a time when the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party replaced him as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh with the much junior MLA Mohan Yadav.

Chouhan who is just 64 years old had led the BJP to a massive victory in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. But the BJP seemingly didn’t give the credit of the victory to Chouhan. The BJP credited the Madhya Pradesh victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Getting emotional with the people in the Budhni Assembly seat, Chouhan said that he would stay in the state only and not go anywhere else. It may be recalled that Chouhan had also said a few days ago that he would accept whatever responsibilities the party gives to him.

While Chouhan appears without any responsibility in the Madhya Pradesh politics even while he is an MLA, there is speculations doing rounds that the BJP may make him the party vice president. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje is also a BJP vice president. The BJP has a tradition to keep a dozen vice presidents who general have no responsibilities in running of the party affairs.

It may also be recalled that Chouhan has been touring the state even before the Assembly poll verdict came. He is regularly seen in the midst of the people. The political observers in Madhya Pradesh claim that Chouhan is sending out message to the top brass of the party that he still enjoys the popular support.

However, Chouhan along with Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh and Vasundhara Raje had to make ways for younger leadership in Madhya Pradesh as part of the strategy of the BJP to groom new leadership in the states.
