Mumbai, November 21, 2025 — Angel One reported that the Indian equity market ended the week on a mixed note, with the Nifty 50 managing to hold its bullish structure despite a sharp sell-off on Friday triggered by weak global cues. Nifty closed the week with gains of 0.61%, finishing marginally above 26,050.

Sectorally, Nifty IT was the standout performer, rising more than 1.5% through the week—an outperformance that analysts expect to continue given its strong price setup. Through Friday, however, the broader market came under pressure as global sentiment remained weak, with Asian and European indices registering steep declines.

On the technical front, Nifty slipped 124 points on Friday, wiping out the previous day’s up-move. All major sectors closed in the red except FMCG, while metals and realty stocks faced the steepest sell-off. Market volatility surged, with India VIX jumping over 12%, signalling heightened uncertainty in the near term.

Despite this, analysts maintain that the undertone remains bullish, and dips toward the 26,000–25,900 support zone are likely to attract buying interest. On the upside, the 26,200–26,300 zone is expected to be a stiff resistance.

StockEdge noted that the Nifty 50 ended the day at 26,064, down around 0.49%, reflecting a consolidation phase amid mixed global signals. Banking and financial stocks held relatively stable, though participation from broader sectors remained subdued.
