Scorched Delhi pines for rains while temperature soars
Delhi may see rains on May 30 & June 1

May 27: Parts of Delhi witnessed maximum temperature breaching the 48 degree celsius mark on Monday. There is no respite even on Tuesday. The weather department warned that the heat wave situations will persist for the next few days as well.
The weather department on Tuesday said that Delhi may witness cooling of temperatures only by the end of the month. The Meteorological (MeT) department said that Delhi may see clouds on May 31.
The MeT department has issued the red alert for two days. The heat wave conditions are sweeping through the northern and the western parts of the country. Parts of Rajasthan are witnessing record maximum temperature.

The MeT department on Tuesday said that Delhi may hope for the rains on June 1. It added that the average temperature could be lesser next month.
It may be noted that the Monsoon rains are expected in the national capital around June 25. The MeT Department has predicted an above normal Monsoon for India once more.
Outer parts of Delhi are sweltering under the heat wave conditions. The people are being advised to avoid stepping out of their homes in the daytime. The schools have already announced early summer holidays.

The average temperature in Delhi remained 46 degree celsius. Delhi’s outer areas such as Najafgarh, Narela, and Mangeshpur saw the maximum temperature breaching the 48 degree celsius mark. Mangeshpur recorded the highest temperature of 48.8 degree celsius on Monday.
Kuldeep Shrivastava of the MeT Department warned that the heat wave conditions will persist in the national capital. He added that there will be respite from the heatwave conditions only by the end of the month.
The MeT Department has predicted above normal Monsoon for the year. The Monsoon rains have already touched the Kerala coastline two days ahead of the schedule.
