The Ghazipur Lok Sabha MP of the Samajwadi Party, Afzal Ansari, also added to the buzzing grapevine on the victory margin of the prime minister from Varanasi. “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lost all the three adjoining Lok Sabha seats which surround the Varanasi parliamentary constituency,” Ansari told reporters on Tuesday.

The SP MP credited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for ensuring the victory of Modi from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. “Yogi Adityanath camped in Varanasi in the last phase of the Lok Sabha elections. He rallied the party workers to back the prime minister in the elections,” added Ansari.
