India Rejects Pakistan’s Claims of Airbase Attacks
By TRH News Desk
NEW DELHI, May 10, 2025 – India on Saturday dismissed Pakistan’s claims of damaging its airbases and military infrastructure, accusing Islamabad of spreading false propaganda. Indian officials also reported that Pakistan is deploying armed forces to forward positions, signaling further escalation amid ongoing border clashes.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, in a press briefing, presented time-stamped images of Indian airbases, including Sirsa, showing no damage and full operational status. She refuted Pakistan’s claims of strikes on facilities in Anandpur, Pathankot, and elsewhere, stating that all attacks were neutralized. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri further debunked Pakistan’s assertions of destroying India’s S-400 air defense system and BrahMos missile storage, calling them products of Pakistan’s “propaganda machinery.”
Colonel Sophia Qureshi detailed Pakistan’s multi-pronged attacks targeting civilian and military infrastructure using drones, artillery, long-range missiles, and loitering munitions. She shared a video purportedly showing the Indian Army destroying a Pakistani drone-launch facility, emphasizing that India’s retaliatory strikes were calibrated to minimize collateral damage. Qureshi accused Pakistan of continuing civilian flights to use people as “human shields” and misusing international air traffic routes.

“Pakistan’s actions constitute provocations and escalations,” Misri said, stressing that India’s responses have been “responsible and measured.” He noted a “repeat of this escalatory pattern” early Saturday. Qureshi added that Pakistan’s army has persistently attacked India’s western borders, deploying fighter jets and high-speed missiles, including a 1:40 AM strike on a Punjab airbase and attacks on health facilities and schools near Srinagar’s airbase. “Pakistan attempted air infiltrations at over 26 locations, but most threats were neutralized,” she said.
Singh warned that Pakistan’s movement of troops to forward positions aims to heighten tensions, while Misri reiterated India’s non-escalatory stance. Indian forces remain on high alert as the situation along the border deteriorates.
Misri was speaking at a special briefing on Saturday. His remarks came within hours of G7 issuing a statement on escalating India-Pakistan tensions.
The G7 in its statement condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, while urging upon India and Pakistan to de-escalate. “Further escalation poses risks to the regional stability,” warned the G7 in its statement. G7 constitutes of the US, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, and Canada.
India has reiterated that its actions are non-escalatory. Misri asserted that Pakistan is seeking to escalate the situations.
