New Delhi, June 15: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents are showing signs of cautions ahead of parliament session. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought curbs on discordant notes from the ranks of the NDA partners.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked the party leaders in Delhi and Patna to stay guarded in their utterances, sources said.
The Janata Dal (United) leaders had vented out first the need for the review of the Agnipath scheme. The contractual recruitment programme for the Armed Forces is now under review by the Centre.

The Bihar chief minister doesn’t want anyone from the ranks of the party to stir controversy, and give fodder to the Opposition ahead of the upcoming parliament session. Sources said that the Bihar chief minister “wants perfect chemistry with the BJP in matters of the Central government”.
The JD (U) will be holding the national executive in Delhi later this month. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) after the initial remarks from the ranks of the party leaders struck discordant notes is also seeking to strike coherence with the BJP.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed to the leaders of the constituents of the NDA that discussions on issues on policy matters be avoided through the media channels,” said a senior JD (U) leader.
The TDP and the JD (U) are the large constituents of the NDA. They have become key to the stability of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
While the BJP could win 241 Lok Sabha seats, the government is dependent on support of the NDA allies. The BJP hopes that the NDA government will run smoothly by drawing on the past experiences of running coalitions.
Yet, daggers are out of cloaks in Bihar and Maharashtra over the poll outcome with open sparring seen among the leaders of the NDA constituents.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is livid on blames being put on its doors for the dismal poll performances of the NDA. Chagan Bhujban of the NCP has said that blaming his party is preposterous as actually “the Ajit Pawar-led outfit contested only two Lok Sabha seats and won one of them”.
In Bihar also, the JD (U) leaders are aiming at the state unit president of the BJP Samrat Chaudhary. The NDA alliance partner leaders in Bihar are questioning the relevance of Choudhary for not being able to influence his caste (Kushwaha) voters in the Lok Sabha elections.
Political observers argue that the Kushwaha voters in Bihar shifted away from the NDA. The poll wins of the CPI (ML) candidates have riled the NDA constituents in Bihar.
