NDA leaders hail Modi for US visit while Reddy rebuts Rahul

New Delhi, September 24: Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday claimed that the Opposition broke the confidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Ministers from the NDA ranks on Tuesday heaped praises on Modi for his visit to the US. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy came out with a long explainer to rebut claims of Gandhi.

At a public meeting in Srinagar, Gandhi had claimed that the “Opposition psychologically broke PM Modi”. “His earlier resolve is no more visible,” the Congress leader had said.

Gandhi had also claimed that the government led by Modi “does now what the Opposition wants”. He had claimed that the government did many “U-turns under the pressure of the Opposition”.

“Rahul Gandhi has no moral authority to criticize Prime Minister Modi, a leader who has worked selflessly and with utmost integrity to elevate India’s standing on the global stage. The people of India, who have consistently placed their faith in Modi, will undoubtedly deliver a fitting response to Rahul Gandhi’s continuous slander and divisive politics,” Reddy said in his long rebuttal to the claims of Gandhi made in Srinagar.

Chief Ministers of the NDA-ruled states on Tuesday came out with effusive praises for Modi on his visit to the US. Modi took part in the Quad Leaders’ Meeting in Delaware in the US. The prime minister also addressed the Futures Summit of the US.

“USA visit has shown once again why he is a global statesman and trendsetter par excellence. In a short visit, he has been able to cover many sectors, which will strengthen India’s journey to progress,” said Eknath Shinde, chief minister of Maharashtra, in a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

Shinde also stated that “as Indians, we feel very proud to see when our Prime Minister is welcomed specially by American President Biden to his personal residence and school”.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also came out with a long post to shower praise on Modi on the outcomes of his visit to the US. “The decisions taken during the recent visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to increase investment between the two countries are welcome. The decisions taken between the two countries will increase investment in cutting edge technological areas and open new avenues of development,” added Kumar.

The Bihar chief minister also stressed that “the warm welcome given to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji by world leaders and Indian diaspora strengthens his leadership.”

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu hailed Modi for his visit to the US. “We are lucky to be working under the leadership of such a statesman. He has strengthened India’s position in the comity of nations and has unarguably emerged as a tall world leader, bringing communities and countries together,” said Naidu in a post on X.

The BJP leaders have shared the social media posts of the NDA leaders on Modi’s visit to the US. Leader of the Opposition had launched sharp attacks on Modi in his election rally in Srinagar.
