New Delhi, June 7: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Jagat Prakash Nadda led leaders of the constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday to submit the letter of the support to President Droupadi Murmu for the government formation at the Centre. The NDA in its meeting in the Central Hall of parliament officially elected Narendra Modi as leader.
President Murmu will swear in the council of ministers headed by Modi as the prime minister on Sunday evening. The NDA meeting witnessed predictable bonhomie among the leaders of the constituents in the Central Hall.
“This will not be a Modi 3.0 government. This will be an NDA government. Modi in his speech today gave enough hints that he will work for a consensus in decision making process,” said a senior ranking Janata Dal (United) functionary.

There is a sense of jubilation in the camp of the JD (U), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and other NDA allies. Scores of vehicles were lined up on main roads leading to the residences of the leaders of the NDA outfits in the national capital.
“We are not setting any conditions. We are also not insisting on codification of the common minimum programme. Situations and responses will evolve in the natural course of action,” added the JD (U) functionary.
The NDA allies are exuding exuberance for finally gaining the limelight. “Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is now vindicated with his decision to strike an alliance with the BJP. He deservingly is back at the centre stage of the national politics,” said another JD (U) functionary.

The NDA leaders are elated for ways the BJP is pampering them and giving the respect. “After the Lok Sabha election verdict, the NDA has revived. Previously, Modi had no alliance even with the BJP. But now the spirit of the alliance is dominating in the conduct and the utterances of Modi and the BJP leaders,” added the JD (U) functionary.
The leaders of the NDA allies stressed on “Modi doctrine” in their conversations with the media persons on Friday. “Modi emphasised on consensus in his speech in the Central Hall of parliament. This is an affirmation that the government at the Centre will now have an air of decentralisation which had been missing in the first two term of the NDA government led by Modi,” said the JD (U) functionary.
