MUMBAI, May 31, 2025 – In a dazzling finale at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025, marking a proud moment for her nation.

The 72nd edition of the prestigious beauty pageant saw 108 contestants from across the globe compete for the coveted title, with contestant from Thailand emerging victorious.

The Miss World Organisation announced the winner in an official statement, saying, “A new queen has been crowned –Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand is officially Miss World 2025! Her victory comes during a year of heightened attention in the pageant world, and she now steps into the role of global ambassador for the Miss World Organization.”

The statement highlighted Opal’s journey, noting her exceptional grace, poise, and commitment to humanitarian causes, aligning with the pageant’s “Beauty With a Purpose” mission.

The grand finale, co-hosted by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar, featured captivating performances by Bollywood stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter, with a special appearance by Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, the reigning Miss World, crowned her successor in an emotional moment, bidding farewell to her transformative reign.

Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, in an earlier statement to CNBC TV18, underscored the event’s significance for the region, saying, “Many countries in the world do not know about Telangana. The plan is to take advantage of the Miss World event to showcase Telangana’s culture to the world and attract tourists from all over the world.”

Opal Suchata Chuangsri now embarks on her journey as Miss World 2025, carrying the mantle of global ambassadorship, advocating for humanitarian causes, and inspiring millions worldwide.
