New Delhi, January 12: The Bahujan Samaj Party is getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections. The Mayawati-led political outfit has launched a ‘Missed Call’ campaign to connect with her supporters. The initiative of the BSP has come at a time when the party is seeking to hold the third pivot in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections.
The BSP leader Akash Anand has launched the ‘Missed Call’ campaign. In a post on social media platform X, Anand said that the people can directly reach out to him by giving missed call to the number 9911278181.
This is an initiative of Anand who was recently given a big responsibility in the BSP by her aunt Mayawati. The young Anand has been tasked to build networks to connect with the core voters of the BSP.
Informed sources said that the BSP is now seeking to establish direct contact with the party supporters. The BSP is said to have taken the step amid an assessment that the mainstream media is not giving the party adequate coverage. It may be noted that the BSP hardly finds any media coverage as the spotlight is now on the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh from the Opposition ranks.
The BSP leaders said that the ‘Missed Call’ will directly connect the people with the party’s communication department and they will begin receiving regular updates about the party programmes. The BSP is also gearing up to celebrate the birthday of the party supremo Mayawati this week. The party leaders said that Mayawati will activate all cells of the organization to get them ready for the Lok Sabha elections.
The party leaders said that the BSP will hold several programmes all across the country on the occasion of the birthday of Mayawati. The BSP will celebrate the birthday of Mayawati on January 15. The BSP workers will distribute the literature around the party leaders and the achievements of the party led government in Uttar Pradesh during 2007-12 on the occasion.
The BSP leader Akash Anand has been trying to counter the SP by reminding the people about the law and order track record during the Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav governments in Uttar Pradesh. By amplifying the law and order issue, the BSP is position the party as the third pivot in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections.
It may noted that the SP is holding talks with the Congress as a part of the Indian National Developmental and Inclusive Alliance for seat adjustment in Uttar Pradesh. The SP is attacking the BSP amid the seat adjustment talks. The BSP supremo had also launched a scathing attack on the SP in her last statement, accusing the Akhilesh Yadav led party of being anti-Dalit.
