After ColdPlayGate, Astronomer Reveals Chris Martin’s Ex in Communication Masterclass

MUMBAI, July 26, 2025 — Battle of wits between Astronomer and Cold Play is far from over. In a fresh twist in the aftermath of kiss-cam scandal, Astronomer revealed Gwyneth Paltrow as a temporary spokesperson of the company.

Astronomer posted a one-minute video of Paltrow, speaking the core strength of the company. The video is racing on the strength of virality. Paltrow was spouse of Cold Play’s lead singer Chris Martin for almost a decade until they separated.

Before Paltrow spoke for Astronomer’s strength, Cold Play was minting money on basis of a new-found craze for the music band. Reports said the music band has already seen over 36% surge in streaming demands.

Paltrow in the video spoke of the core strength of Astronomer. She is a well-known Hollywood star. Paltrow has starred in a number of films such as Contagion (2011), Proof (2005), and Infamous (2006). Paltrow’s one-minute video posted on X by Astronomer is approaching a million view within a span of six hours.

Astronomer was caught in the controversy crosshairs of the kiss-cam scandal of the music band. The incident occurred on July 16 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Andy Byron, CEO of New York-based tech firm Astronomer, was seen in a seemingly intimate moment with Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer.

The pair appeared on the stadium’s jumbotron during Coldplay’s performance of “The Jumbotron Song,” prompting lead singer Chris Martin to joke, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” after the duo awkwardly ducked and hid their faces.

Astronomer afterwards axed Byron. But the issue refused to die down. Martin continued making light jokes about the scandal in the next music concert.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took a light-hearted jab at the viral scandal that rocked the tech world during the band’s sold-out concert at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. The performance, the first since a now-infamous moment at a Boston-area show, saw Martin preface the band’s beloved “Jumbotron Song” with a cheeky disclaimer, addressing the internet storm that led to the resignation of Byron. Martin at Madison said: “Hope we didn’t do anything bad.”

Users on X called Astronomer unleashing Martin’s ex-wife a masterclass in communication strategy. They lauded the tech-company of not ducking the razing scandal but facing upfront and also capitalise on new-found gains in global attention.
