PM Narendra Modi In Tamil Nadu

New Delhi, January 22: The first loud voice to ring the air came in the morning on Monday from the daily meeting of the security guards in the group housing society who shouted ‘Jai Shri Ram”. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu broke ranks with his colleague in Karnataka to lit his house in Shimla with festivity and also declare a holiday for Monday, the January 22 to celebrate the ‘Pran Pratistha of Ram Mandir’ in Ayodhya.
The dissenting seer Avimukteswarnand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the Jyotish Peeth, changed his tune a day before the consecration ceremony to hail Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his contributions to the Hindu culture. His concern for the protocol for President Droupadi Murmu was apparently addressed.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar on the lines of President Murmu came out with a long message. Noteworthy was Dhankar saying, “January 22 is etched in history as defining moment of tryst with divinity in our civilizational trajectory”. President Murmu in her message spotlighted prime minister’s days of ‘tapasya (austerity)’ ahead of the ‘Pran Pratistha’ of the idol of Ram Lala in Ayodhya.
Author Ashwin Sanghi in an article in ToI called upon the Muslim youth to free themselves from the “yoke of the stubborn religious leaders”. He argued that “Ayodhya is a good context for the ordinary Muslims to wrest back power from stubborn religious leaders”.
Sanghi’s exhortations to Muslims were somewhat being read in the contrarian club as Pratap Bhanu Mehta in an article in The Indian Express wrote that “there is something astonishing about this mobilization of power. You have to struggle to remember its ominous origins and shadows”.
Robert Spencer, who claims to keep a watch on ‘Jihad’, wrote on the social media platform X: “In Ayodhya, Modi is about to inaugurate a Hindu temple on the site of a 16th century triumphal mosque that was built over an earlier Hindu temple that jihadis destroyed during the Mughal era. This is a historic day that demonstrates anew that the jihadis can be pushed back if people have the courage to face them down and stand against violence and intimidation.”
The Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) supremo Mohan Bhagwat also penned an article on the occasion wherein he has specially mentioned that the Hindu and Muslims fought together in the 1857 War of Independence after Bahadur Shah Zafar banned cow slaughter.
Women flocked to buy Ram flag in the neighbourhood markets even while the saffron activists had been freely distributing the ‘Dhwaja’. The people are celebrating the occasion as ‘Deepawali’.
