India on High Alert After Delhi Red Fort Blast with Drills in States

From Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to Kerala and Rajasthan, state police forces step up checks and patrolling in public places following the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort.

New Delhi, November 10, 2025 — Following the deadly blast near Red Fort in Delhi on Monday evening, multiple states across India have been placed on high alert as security agencies brace for possible threats.
Journalist Anish Singh reported in a post on X that Bihar, Chandigarh, Kerala, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh have intensified security measures in response to the explosion that killed several people and injured dozens.
In Bihar, teams have been deployed across key entry and exit points, with officials confirming that “everyone is being checked” as part of heightened surveillance.
Chandigarh Police have also been put on high alert, with increased patrolling in crowded and sensitive areas. In Kerala, State Police Chief Ravada Azad Chandrasekhar directed all district police units to strengthen security arrangements across the state, focusing on transport hubs and public spaces.
In Haryana, the state government has issued instructions to all district magistrates and police units to remain vigilant. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after being briefed by DGP Rajiv Krishna, ordered that the entire state police force remain on high alert, ensuring intensive checking and robust security arrangements.
According to PTI, security has been tightened across Lucknow, with police conducting checks in markets, malls, and crowded areas.
In Rajasthan, DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma instructed all police commissioners, range IGs, and district SPs to stay on alert following the Red Fort explosion. Police have been told to deploy maximum personnel on roads, monitor CCTV footage from command centers, and keep bomb disposal squads ready.
Sharma also directed senior officers to personally oversee precautionary measures, ensure tight surveillance at railway stations, bus stands, shopping malls, and religious places, and maintain real-time social media monitoring to counter misinformation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has been in constant touch with state authorities as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams continue examining the Red Fort blast site.
