New Delhi, October 17: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on Monday evening announced six winners of the global award for authentic Indian restaurants. The ICCR president Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, while announcing the winners, said that the certification will help the people abroad identify the authentic Indian restaurants.

Sahasrabuddhe stated that the ‘Annapurna Certification’ by the ICCR will help the Indian restaurants to preserve their brand at a time when nationals from other countries are trying to benefit from the India’s food brand, built over several decades. “We at ICCR have been spreading the message of our culture and its millennia old traditions as a part of the institutional mission,” said the ICCR president, while announcing the winner of the contest as part of one-of-its kind ‘Annapurna Certificate Programme 2023’.

He announced the name of the six winner restaurants from six different countries out of 115 nominations received from Indian missions abroad & unveiled the Annapurna plaque.
