AAP rushes Delhi Minister Atishi to LNJP Hospital

New Delhi, June 25: On advices of doctors, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday rushed Delhi Minister Atishi to the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital in the national capital. Atishi was holding an indefinite fast against the acute water crisis in the national capital.

Atishi is Delhi’s water minister Atishi. Her health deteriorated after which she was admitted to LNJP Hospital.

Atishi was on an indefinite hunger strike for the last four days. She had accused the Haryana government of not releasing Delhi’s share of water.

Delhi is battling an acute water crisis. Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is rationing water supply in all parts of the national capital.

Even the Lutyens’ zone, the oasis of the whos’ who of the national capital, is reportedly getting only one time water supply.

In the outer parts of Delhi, the people could be seen queuing up to fetch water from tankers. The Opposition allege that the AAP government in the national capital didn’t end the tentacles of the ‘tanker mafia’.

Delhi government ministers have also written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to spotlight the water crisis.

On Atishi’s health, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that her blood sugar level had been falling since last night. When Atishi’s blood sample was taken, her sugar level came to 46.

“When her sugar level was checked with a portable machine, her sugar level came to 36,” said Bhardwaj. Doctors attending to Atishi had said yesterday that the parameters of the health conditions of Atishi had sharply been falling.

Atishi was on an indefinite hunger strike against the Haryana government. She had accused the Haryana government of not releasing 100 million gallons per day (MGD) of water.

The AAP in Delhi put the blame on the Haryana government for creating water crisis in the national capital. The AAP had claimed that Atishi would continue with her indefinite fast.

She had yesterday ignored advices of doctors for getting admitted to a hospital in view of her deteriorating health. “She is fighting for Delhi’s fair share of water without caring for herself,” the AAP leaders maintained.
