Newly released documents reviewed by DropSite show Epstein leveraging his global network to push a Modi–Bannon meeting in 2019

New Delhi, November 21, 2025 — In a striking new revelation, DropSite has found that Jeffrey Epstein attempted to arrange a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Trump strategist Steve Bannon in mid-2019—just weeks before his arrest. The disclosure comes from a review of documents released by the U.S. House Oversight Committee, which reveal previously unknown layers of Epstein’s engagement with top Indian political and business figures.

According to the DropSite review of the documents, the unnamed recipient of Epstein’s 2019 messages pushing for a Modi meeting was in Kazakhstan at the time. The details align closely with Steve Bannon’s publicly known schedule as he attended a conference there.

While Bannon left the Trump White House in 2017, he remained highly influential in conservative circles and maintained strategic communication with Donald Trump on key geopolitical issues. Bannon did not respond to DropSite’s request for comment.

Epstein’s outreach to Bannon intensified immediately after Modi’s historic re-election on May 23, 2019. “I’m doing a one hour show for India on Modi while here—bringing American Hindu guys with us,” Bannon wrote, according to House Oversight documents reviewed by DropSite. Epstein replied: “his focus wants to be stopping china.”

Days later, Bannon appeared on India’s WION network praising Modi and highlighting U.S.-India cooperation amid rising tensions with China. The documents show Epstein pressing for a one-on-one meeting between Modi and Bannon: “I can set—you should meet with Modi,” Epstein wrote. Bannon responded, “please.” Epstein followed up: “when can you do it?”

Epstein then urged Bannon not to miss the chance, invoking his economic nationalism: “my guy said to tell you that you are missing a great opportunity… look at your underwear. it either says made in China or made in India… how is it possible that you guys don’t understand shared goals.” Hours later, Epstein claimed: “Modi on board.”

DropSite was unable to confirm whether a meeting was ever pursued beyond these exchanges.

The House Oversight files reviewed by DropSite also reveal Epstein’s sustained interest in India’s geopolitical posture, particularly its rapidly expanding ties with Israel. The documents show Epstein corresponding with a powerful Indian billionaire involved in a joint venture with an Israeli state-owned defence firm—discussing the India–Israel relationship in sensitive detail.
