20,000-page document dump exposes Epstein’s blunt assessments of Trump, behind-the-scenes debate strategy talks, and fresh scrutiny of their long-speculated ties. White House dismisses leaks as “Democrat distraction.”

New Delhi, November 21, 2025Jeffrey Epstein allegedly described US President Donald Trump as “dangerous” in a newly surfaced email included in a massive trove of documents released by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The committee made public more than 20,000 pages from the Epstein estate, including an alleged Feb. 8, 2017 exchange between Epstein and former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers — less than three weeks after Trump’s inauguration.

“I have met some very bad people… none as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body… so yes — dangerous,” Epstein purportedly wrote, according to ABC News.

The White House swiftly dismissed the disclosures. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson told PEOPLE the emails “prove literally nothing,” accusing “liberal outlets” of hyping a “Democrat distraction” to avoid discussing what she called the President’s victory in the recent government shutdown fight. “We won’t be distracted,” she added, reiterating Trump’s pledge to “Make America Affordable Again.”

The leaks have renewed scrutiny of Trump’s past association with Epstein, who referenced the former president multiple times across the years. Among the documents, Democrats on the committee released three partially redacted email threads: one between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and two with journalist and Trump biographer Michael Wolff.

In an April 2, 2011 exchange with Maxwell, Epstein wrote: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. [Redacted victim’s name] spent hours at my house with him… he has never once been mentioned.” Maxwell responded: “I have been thinking about that…”

Another thread from Dec. 16, 2015 showed Wolff warning Epstein that CNN might ask Trump about their relationship during a presidential debate. Epstein asked whether they should help craft an answer. Wolff appeared to suggest letting Trump “hang himself,” adding that if Trump lied, Epstein could gain “valuable PR and political currency.”

He also floated that Trump might instead defend Epstein as “a great guy… a victim of political correctness.”

Ultimately, Trump was not asked about Epstein during that debate, according to The New York Times.

A third email, dated Jan. 31, 2019, included an allegation from Epstein tying a redacted victim’s name to Mar-a-Lago. Epstein also claimed Trump once asked him to resign from the club — “never a member ever,” he said — and alleged Trump “knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

Responding to earlier requests for comment on the broader email set, the White House circulated a statement from Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accusing Democrats of pushing a “hoax” to smear Trump. Leavitt said the “unnamed victim” referenced was the late Virginia Giuffre, who she noted had publicly stated Trump was not involved in wrongdoing and had been “friendly” in their limited interactions.

“The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre,” Leavitt added.

The explosive emails come amid mounting public and congressional pressure to release the remaining Epstein files — long-sealed documents tied to his criminal operations.

Epstein, arrested in July 2019 on federal sex-trafficking charges, pleaded not guilty. He died by suicide inside New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center in August 2019, leaving behind a global scandal that continues to reverberate through politics, business and media.
