Panchkula, May 3: Sky was overcast and signs of heavy downpours were visible near Karn Lake in Karnal, Haryana. A few morning walkers strolled around the lake when they caught sight of a badly injured cow stuck in the waters.
The youngsters quickly resolved to rescue the cow. But they soon found that they were without the means and the time was short, for the cow had been badly injured. One of them dialed emergency number 112 to test the claims of the Haryana Police of quick response.
They were soon pleasantly surprised as an Innova SUV, equipped with several of the emergency equipment arrived, and the police personnel turned out to be more eager to quickly retrieve the cow. They dialed the animal rescue team, and the cow was safely brought out.
