JP Nadda Launches BJP Manifesto with ₹2500 Cash for Women

New Delhi, January 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday released the ‘Sankalp Patra’ of the party for the Assembly elections in Delhi. The BJP is promising ₹2500 per month to women while also committing LPG cylinders at ₹500 in the national capital.
On the lines of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the BJP has promised ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojna’ under which the women will get ₹2500 per month. The BJP did not spell out the age group. But the beneficiary age group is likely to be 18-60 years.
“We have a track record of implementing schemes for the economic empowerment of women. Our governments in Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Maharashtra have implemented the cash transfer schemes. In the very first Cabinet meeting after we win the elections, the Delhi government will approve the Mahila Samriddhi Yojna,” said Nadda at a press conference at the Delhi unit of the party.
Nadda also announced that the BJP government in the city will provide LPG cylinders at ₹500 per cylinders. “On occasions of Diwali and Holi, the people in Delhi will get free LPG cylinders,” added Nadda.
The BJP chief also announced Atal canteen scheme for jhuggi-clusters under which the people will get a full-meal at a cost of ₹5 per plate. He, however, didn’t specify the number of canteens that will be opened up in the jhuggi-clusters.
“We want to ask the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to tell the status of the promise made to the people in the juggis of opening 100 canteens,” added Nadda. Subsidized cooked meal programme has been employed by various political parties in some of the states during the elections.
Nadda also announced that there will be a top up of ₹5 lakh on Ayushman card which will ensure that the people may avail benefits up to ₹10 lakh for medical treatments. The Ayushman Bharat covers people till 60 years of age. The AAP has promised Sanjeevani Yojna for free treatment till the age of 70 years in Delhi.
The BJP also promised nutritional packets for women in the national capital. Nadda said that the BJP government in Delhi will give an additional financial support of ₹21000 to women along with six nutritional packets in a year.
The BJP also stated that all the schemes which are currently being implemented by the AAP-led government will remain in force.
