Congress Unveils Organisational Accountability Roadmap, From Bottom to Top

New Delhi, December 26: The extended Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Belagavi decided to launch a massive organisational revamp programme. The Congress has set out for a year-long political campaign for the next year.
“We had elaborate discussions. More than 50 people spoke about the resolutions. We moved two resolutions. One is on Mahatma Gandhi, and second is as a political resolution,’ said K C Venugopal, the Congress national general secretary (Organisation) while briefing the reporters on the outcome of the Belagavi session of the party.
The Congress session 100 years ago was presided over by Mahatma Gandhi. He had held only one session as the head of the Congress in 1924. “We finally decided to go for massive political campaign for the one year. The year 2025 is going to be dedicated for organizational revamping programme,” added Venugopal.
The congress leaders said that the organizational revamping program will also entail fixing accountability. “From every level, moving to top, there will be an examination of accountability. There will be a thorough enquiry about the capability of the leaderships,” added Venugopal.

He stated that the Congress will undertake “a massive organizational reform”. “That will start immediately. By taking spirit from this conference, Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhayan, from December 27, 2024 to January 26, 2026, more than a year, continuous campaign, including padayatra and campaigns in villages, block level, district level, and state level rallies will be held,” stated Venugopal.
He said that 13 months long campaign will oversee a massive organisational revamp of the Congress. “This will be led by the leaders, not only national leaders, state leaders, district leaders, and lower-level leaders, from one point in a state, one point, one village to the extreme, another village,” he stated.
Padyatra, seminars, and public meetings will be part of the year-long drive of the Congress. there, public rallies will be there.
The Congress will keep focus on the alleged attack on the Constitution by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “We will also raise the degradation of the values of the Constitution. Certainly, we will raise the people’s issues like price rise and corruption. This is going to be a massive political campaign of a political party,” added Venugopal.
He also stated that the organizational restructuring of the Congress will also be undertaken. “One of the major announcement is about an AICC session in Gujarat. This will be a delegate conference in Gujarat,” added Venugopal.
