CISF woman constable slaps BJP MP Kangana Ranaut

New Delhi, June 6: The newly-elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kanagana Ranaut was allegedly slapped at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday. The CISP has constituted a probe into the incident in which a constable slapped the film star turned politician.
Reports claimed that there were arguments during frisking at the airport between the film star and a CISF constable. The woman security official allegedly slapped the film star because of the arguments.
The CISF has constituted a probe to look into the reasons for the incident. Also, the video footage of the incident has gone viral on the social media platforms.

Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur demanded a probe in the incident. Ranaut has arrived in the national capital.
Ranaut posted a video on the social media platforms to link the incident to the rise in extremism in Punjab. “I had just come out from the security check, I waited for another woman security person to pass by,” said Ranaut.
She said that she was hit on the face by the CISF constable. “When I enquired about reasons for hitting, she started abusing me,” said Ranaut.

The film star said that she was face. She claimed that the constable told her that she supported the farmers’ protests.
Ranaut said: “I am safe. But my concern is how do we handle the rise in terrorism and extremism in Punjab.”
Reports said that Ranaut after winning her Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi parliamentary seat in Himachal Pradesh had come to the Chandigarh airport to board a flight for New Delhi.
“We got this information from TV channels, and if such an incident has happened, it is very unfortunate,” the PTI quoted Thakur saying after the incident.

Ranaut defeated the Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh in the Mandi parliamentary seat. This was her maiden election contest.
The Lok Sabha MPs have begun arriving in the national capital to complete the formalities for the new members of the lower house of parliament. It was however not immediately not known what provoked the CISF constable to slap Ranaut.
The image of the woman CISF constable has also gone viral on the social media platforms. It may be noted that the CISF is tasked with the frisking of the passengers at the airport.
Ranaut has essayed several roles of women characters in lead in Hindi films, which included the likes of Jhansi ki Rani. She is also known as temperamental.
She is aself-claimed ardent admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with Hema Malini, Ranaut will add to the glamour quotient of the Lok Sabha.
