NEW DELHI, July 29, 2025 — Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that China and Pakistani armies have fused together to form a unified command. Gandhi stated in the Lok Sabha that Indian armed forces while carrying out Operation Sindoor found that they were facing a China-Pakistan joint command.

“In 2021, China set up a Unified AI Centre in Pakistan to enable the Pakistani Air Force for network warfare. Now, the Pakistani military personnel are embedded with the western and the northern commands of the People’s Liberation of Army of China,” said Gandhi.

The Congress leader alleged that the government didn’t give free hand to the Armed forces while carrying out the Operation Sindoor. “Within conclusions of the strikes against terror targets, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that Pakistan was informed that India wouldn’t be targeting the Pakistani military infrastructure. By doing this, the government tied the hands of the armed forces,” alleged Gandhi.

The Congress leader challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak in the Lok Sabha that US President Donald Trump has been lying while making claims of brokering ceasefire between India and Pakistan. “The Prime Minister should say from here, if he has even half the courage of late Indira Gandhi, that Donald Trump is lying,” added Gandhi.

The Congress leader accused the government of using the armed forces to “defend image of the Prime Minister.” Gandhi quoted the deputy chief staff of the Indian Army Rahul Singh, saying that “China was passing on critical information to Pakistan on a real time basis. The Pakistani DGMO told his Indian counterpart that a vector primed for launch be taken back.”

Gandhi also accused the government of doing politics in the name of national security. The Congress leader also attacked Jaishankar for a “lack of awareness of warfare.” “He said that the two-front war is decades-old. He doesn’t know that India now faces multiple war fronts now,” added Gandhi.
