Buyers Accuse Mahagun Monorialle of 10-Yr Delay

Noida, March 29: A large group of homebuyers held a major protest against the management of Mahagun Monorialle in Noida. The buyers accused the management of over 10-year delay in completion of the project.

Buyers gathered at the Madalleo office of the Mahagun builder in Sector 107 in Noida. They raised slogans against the management of the Mahagun builder.

“We will protest at each of the project site of Mahagun. We will not let you cheat buyers. We will also protest at your homes,” one buyer of Mahagun Monorialle told an official of Mahagun Builder by the name of Atul Jain.

Buyers of Mahagun Monorialle have formed a welfare society. “The builder offered possession letters to buyers more than four years ago. After payments were made, the builder stopped all activities related to completion of the project,” said another buyer.

Film star Shahrukh Khan was the brand ambassador of Mahagun Monorialle project in Sector 128 in Noida. The film star featured in the advertisements of Mahagun Monorialle project at hoardings, newspapers, and even television promotion. The film star now no more features as the brand ambassador of the project.

“No construction activity is taking place at the Mahagun Monorialle project. The building is standing as it had been for the past seven years. The management has cheated hundreds of home buyers,” said another buyer of a flat at the Mahagun Monorialle project.

The buyers told the management of Mahagun that they will disrupt their sales at all the offices. “We will not let the builder sell anymore flats and cheat more people,” added the flat buyer at the Mahagun Monorialle project.

The buyers said that they have been EMIs for years after taking hefty loans to buy flats at the Mahagun Monorialle project. “Even after the enactment of RERA, there is no help for the buyers. The builder is busy selling flats at upcoming projects without completing our project. This is a fraud onto hundreds of home buyers,” said another flat buyer of the Mahagun Monorialle project.

The flat buyers gathered at the Mahagun office with the agenda that “they cannot screw us and keep selling flats”. “We are taking contributions from the flat buyers for legal battle with the management of Mahagun for getting possession of our flats,” said another flat buyer of the Mahagun Monorialle project.
