Action Plan to Chalk Out Phased Rollout of BJP’s Sankalpa Patras

New Delhi, February 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set in motion efforts to prepare an Action Plan to fulfil poll promises in Delhi. The BJP is likely to finalise names of Chief Minister and other ministers by this weekend.
The BJP come to power in Delhi after 27 years. The party is yet to decide on the formation of the city government even after five days of the poll verdict.
The Raisina Hills had earlier reported that the government formation will take place on return of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the US. Modi after his France visit is currently in Washington.

The BJP parliamentary board is likely to meet soon on return of Modi from the US. A meeting of the BJP legislators will be called on Saturday, sources said.
“The BJP has examined all factors, including social equation, for the government formation and also the CM,” sources said.
Delhi government officials, sources said, are preparing an action plan for 100-day of the new government that will soon be sworn in. “Before the formation of the government, officials have begun preparing a 100-day action plan to fulfil promises made in the BJP’s Sankalpa Patra,” sources in the BJP said. The BJP had released three Sankalpa Patra (manifesto) for Delhi.
Ayushman Bharat implementation will be the first decision of the city government with the BJP at the helm. “The BJP will give a better governance model in Delhi,” sources added.

The action plan will chalk out ways the BJP can come up with own ‘Delhi Model’. “It can have an impact on other states as well. The BJP will give priority to social welfare as well as infrastructure development in Delhi in the Action Plan,” said sources.
The Action Plan will also chalk out steps to fulfil ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ to eliminate garbage mountains. “Also, the BJP has committed to cleaning Yamuna in three years. The Action Plan will list concrete steps,” added sources.
The first few decisions of the city government with the BJP at helm will also be the rollout of the ‘Mahil Samridhi Scheme’. The BJP promised ₹2500 monthly direct benefit transfer for women in Delhi.
As per the 2011 Census, Delhi had 32.50 lakh households. The BJP has not yet spelt out the total cost of the scheme and the exact number of the women beneficiaries.
