AAP Launches Manifesto with 15 Guarantees for Delhi

New Delhi, January 27: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched the manifesto of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for Assembly elections in the city. He said that the AAP is promising ’15 Kejriwal Guarantees’, which includes six made in the 2020 Assembly elections.
Job guarantee leads the poll promises of the AAP. ‘Mahila Samman Yojna’ with ₹2100 monthly cash transfer for women took the second slot in the AAP manifesto.
The third slot went to the cash transfer of ₹18000 monthly to priests of temples and gurudwaras. Kejriwal also announced 50 per cent ticket concession in rides in Delhi Metro for Students. The male students will also avail free travel in city buses.
“The AAP government will bear the full expenses of travel, stay and education of Dalit students who get admissions in foreign universities,” said Kejriwal while releasing the party manifesto.
The AAP convenor made reference to Dalit icon BR Ambedkar’s studies abroad as a template for the key constituency in the national capital. Dalit voters constitute 20 per cent vote base in the national capital.
Kejriwal asked the people not to pay for the water bills, alleging that faulty readings have been sent as a part of conspiracy hatched against the AAP government.
The AAP convenor repeated old promises of cleaning the Yamuna River, desilting the drains, improving the conditions of city roads, and many more. In a fresh outreach to the politically influential resident welfare associations (RWAs), Kejriwal announced that the city government will pay for hiring the private security guards.
The AAP leader also promised that choked drains will be desilted within three months. He also said that the AAP government will revamp the drainage in the national capital.

Kejriwal in an outreach to the tenant voters assured that the AAP government will make arrangements so that the benefits of the ‘free Bijli and paani’ also reach them.
Kejriwal also said that the Sanjivani scheme will take care of the health care of the elders in the national capital above the age of 60 years. “The AAP government will ensure free medical treatment for the people above 60 years of age in government or private hospitals,” he added.
“We could not fulfil some of the promises made in the 2020 Assembly elections, because many of our leaders were sent to jail as a part of conspiracy. Now, we are back and issues are settled. We will fulfil all the promises,” added Kejriwal.
The AAP convenor gave a breakout of the benefits to the people due to “revdis”, saying there is a saving of at least ₹25000 per month for the people in Delhi. “This amount of ₹25000 is not small even for the middle class,” said Kejriwal, adding that if the people pressed the lotus button the BJP will stop all the benefits.
