New Delhi, January 18: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress are conspiring to finish off the party. The BSP has alleged that the party is being pressurized through mainstream and the social media to extend support to the Congress.
The BSP has also alleged that another conspiracy has been hatched against the party by spreading rumour that the party supremo is renouncing politics. The BSP has said that the party would defeat the aims of the conspiracies hatched against the party.
Akash Anand, who is BSP general secretary and the nephew of Mayawati, in a social media post said: “Friends, BJP and Congress are making a big conspiracy against BSP and Behenji regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. First conspiracy, to end our movement, such an environment is being created through Manuwadi media and social media that BSP supports Congress.”
He further claimed that the “second conspiracy is being spread by some Chamcha (sycophants) leaders is that sister is taking retirement. So that people can be confused about the Bahujan movement.”
The allegations of the BSP have come at a time when the BJP and the Congress have gone into full election gears by leading several campaigns in Uttar Pradesh. While former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi is set to spend 11 days in UP as part of his Bharat Jodo Nayay Yatra, the BJP is bulding the election campaign template around the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Also, the rival Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is taking out a yatra across the state. The rivals of the BSP are claiming that Mayawati is only addressing press conferences while others are busy with election campaigns.
Anand stated in the post: “But you all know that respected sister ji does not come under anyone’s pressure, her only objective is to make the Dalit community a political force. By announcing that she will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections alone, sister has given a reply to Manuwadi and capitalist conspiracies.”
It may also be recalled that Mayawati had also charged former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for allegedly hatching conspiracy against her party by spreading rumour of the relations of the BSP with the BJP. The BSP leader stated that the party “will neither allow Congress’s agenda to succeed nor will it allow the country to become a slave to BJP’s free ration and religious syrup. Sister has always said that she will fight till her last breath for the rights and respect of the Dalit, exploited and deprived society.”
He also stated that “in this fight for the self-respect and economic freedom of the working countrymen, we all have to strengthen the respected sister and BSP wholeheartedly and fight with full force.”
